22. June 2010: Fashion Café

| June 23, 2010 | 0 Comments

The Fashion Café is located in the Brera area of Milan, close to the Ristorante El Tombon de San Marc, and the Ristorante Fuoco. It is easily reachable from the metro stop Moscova (green metro line) or the metro stop Turati (yellow metro line). Another option is to take tram 12 or 14 (stop: Bramante Lega Lombarda) or the tram 1 or 2 (stop: Donegani Moscova).

The Fashion Café has a nice little covered outside patio – furthermore, it offers various sitting possibilities on the inside and right next to the window.

The buffet is very stylishly designed. Instead of just grabbing from plates and putting it somewhere on a plastic plate, you find arranged different little cups filled with different aperitivo things. Whereas the design is extremly cool, the food itself is only limitedly great. The choice is quite small and although it’s good it is somewhat disappointing for an aperitivo.

The waitress is friendly but not really attentive – whereas it seems like she keeps forgetting to whom she brought which drink and who has paid and will get money back, at least the other waitress makes up for that a bit.

The price is quite okay for an aperitivo – 8 EUR for a drink/beer is decent for Milan.

All in all, the Fashion Café offers a nice surrounding and a stylish, unusual way of having an aperitivo – but it’s not for the food you should go there but much more in case of group events (like e.g. the Internations.org Aperitivo).
