9. July 2010: Sopranos Café

| July 13, 2010 | 0 Comments

The Sopranos Café is located on the Mühlenplatz in the place formerly known as the “Fischerstube”. While the Fischerstube used to be a restaurant for cheap booze and alcoholics, the Sopranos Café newly run by two brothers, really looks different – much better than before.

In its near vicinity there’s the Knascht Club, the Lounge @Hotel des Balances and the Restaurant Opus (6. April / 4. May).

The bar itself is quite long – built like a tube and therefore a bit tight in winter when everybody is inside. In summer though, the place is awesome because on the “Mühlenplatz” (a big place – for Lucerne) are little tables and chairs located where one can sit outside and enjoy the evening.

The waitress is very friendly and also quick in serving. And what improves the whole thing is the price of a glass of beer, being only CHF 4.30 which is quite cheap for a bar in Lucerne.

The Sopranos Café is definitely worth going in the evening when the weather is nice and you just want to have a few cheap beers with some friends.
