11. July 2010: Bar @Carlton Hotel
The Carlton Hotel is located in walking distance from the Paradeplatz (which is reachable by means of public transportation like the tram (2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, or 13) or the bus (341, 344, N1, N6, N13, or N16) and also in walking distance from Zurich main station which is reachable by tram (6, 7, 11, or 13), by bus (341, N1, N6, N13, or N16) and all kinds of trains.
In the near vicinity of the Carlton Hotel, the Restaurant Churrasco as well as the Restaurant Santa Lucia Niederdorf are located.
The Bar in the Carlton Hotel was lookign different from its usual interior design as we’ve been there to see the finale of the world soccer championship. Still, the place has a very nice interior design – it looks a bit baroque but very comfortable.
I can’t judge on the service as the event didn’t offer served tables but a bar you had to get your drinks. Still, what can be said is that the prices were absolutely decent (paying CHF 7.00 for a beer which is quite cheap for Zurich).
What can definitely be said is that you should make a reservation if you want to be there with a larger group and you should do it way in advance.
