24. March 2011: box food & wine bar
The box food & wine bar at the Gärtnerplatz in Munich is not really a special place if you’re looking at it from outside. What is great though is the interior – it is a modern combination of wooden elements and glass. Definitely a nice place. Also, you can sit outside and there you have a nice view over the whole roundabout at the Gärtnerplatz. It’s not really too great a view but right across the roundabout there is a major theatre and there is a lot of people walking by. The waiters are friendly and rather quick in serving you what you’re ordering – half a litre of wheat beer costs only EUR 3.50. So, it’s pretty cheap overall.
Personally, I can absolutely recommend to have a beer or two at this place – it’s nice, stylish, the crowd is pretty nice too and after all the prices are absolutely fair. So, if you’re just about to have a drink in the evening and want to have a look at the people walking by, the box food & wine bar is definitely a nice place to go.
Close to the box food & wine bar there is the Restaurant Königsquelle, the Trachtenvogl Lounge, and the Restaurant Valentin-Stüberl.
