3. August 2010: Restaurant Trattoria da Vittorio

| August 5, 2010 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant Trattoria & Pizzeria da Vittorio is located within walking distance from the Lucerne main station and therefore easily reachable by various means of transportation. In its vicinity are the Restaurant Latino, the max bar, the Casablanca as well as the Lounge & bar suite.

The interior of the restaurant is nicely designed, tidy, orderly and spacey. On the other hand, there’s room for improvement to make you feel cozy.

The waiter is friendly but a bit slow but trying to be there for all guests at a time and especially at lunch, this is a bit challenging. The da Vittorio has a daily selection of business lunch menus always including salad from the buffet and a desert.

The salad buffet is quite small (about 7 different types of salad) but the salads are good and the sauce tastes okay too.

As a main dish, I’ve ordered veal but unfortunately, I’ve been brought pasta to my table. I was too hungry to complain but I have to say that this shouldn’t happen. The pasta was good though, cooked al dente like Italian pasta is supposed to be made.

Finally, we’ve got a desert which tasted fresh but was quite tiny. I think if you sell it as a desert – even if it is included in the menu – it should be a bit bigger.

All in all, the food is quite okay and looking at the fact that for a menu you pay between CHF 15.50 and CHF 19.50 only (depending on which main course you take), the prices are absolutely fair!

The Restaurant Trattoria & Pizzeria da Vittorio is definitely a good place to go for a business lunch!
