23. March 2011: Ducktail’s – die Bar in the Westin Grand Hotel

| March 24, 2011 | 0 Comments

The Cheeseburger with French fries in the Ducktail’s – die Bar hotel bar of the Westin Grand Hotel is delicious (EUR 17.00). You get two layers of meat, a tasty cheese in the middle, the under bun is full of chili and the onions, pickles, salad and tomatoes are on the side so you’re free to build your own burger the way you want it. The mayonnaise and the ketchup come on the side. The burger really tastes great and the French Fries are good too as they are crispy and therefore not greasy.

Although the prices – especially for Germany – are pretty high, you cannot really complain as for eating in the hotel bar of a five-star hotel it is definitely a price you’ll have to take into account. The beer is also rather expensive accounting for EUR 4.20 for 0,3L.

The waiter and waitress were very friendly and helpful and provided you with the necessary almost immediately. Even though I was sitting in the back of the bar where there weren’t many people really, I was taken care of at all times.

The atmosphere in the bar – and especially in the back part – is really nice. There is a little fireplace, the sofas are comfortable and the music is decent and enjoyable. So, if you’re in the Westin Grand Hotel anyway or close to it and want to eat a tasty burger, the Cheeseburger in the Ducktail’s – die Bar is definitely the place to go.

In the hotel itself is also the Restaurant Paulaner’s Wirtshaus, and close to it are the Restaurant Audrey’s food & flavour, the Restaurant Namaste, the Restaurant Cedar Lounge, and the Restaurant Vapiano Bogenhausen.
