24. November 2010: Restaurant Yooji’s

| November 24, 2010 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant Yooji’s is situated in a side street from the Bellevue. Therefore, it is easily reachable by various means of public transportation (stop: Bellevue). There are quite a few restaurants and bars close to Bellevue like the Restaurant Globus am Bellevue, Restaurant Outback Lodge, the Odeon Bar, the terrasse bar, or the Cakefriends.

The Yooji’s isn’t too appealing from the outside and the inside is just about okay too. The sushi bar is pretty large and takes almost the whole space of the restaurant.

As you’ve already figured, the Yooij’s is a sushi restaurant where you can have sushi at the bar or order it to your table.

The selection of sushi which “ships” around is pretty good. There are five different colors of the plates costing differently much (ranging from about CHF 3.90 to CHF 12.90). The sushi is pretty tasty all in all. Some are a bit better than others, but definitly good in taste.

The concept of the sushi bar itself is pretty fun too. Every seat has a number and you can send a message to any person at the bar by sending a message to that number over a little touchscreen which is installed right in front of you. In addition, you can place your orders for drinks and the like over that screen too. So, it’s somewhat innovative and fun.

It took the waitress quite some time to bring the ordered though, but as there are way to few waitresses for the whole concept, it’s okay (as it doesn’t make sense to hire much more as they’re mostly not really busy).

All in all, the Restaurant Yooji’s is a good place to have sushi. The atmosphere is okay, the concept is cool, the sushi is good and the prices are fair.
